If you haven’t already, you should check out a recent article by Commercial Architecture Magazine regarding the renovation of the David Whitney Building. Because of the building’s thick flooring, a new HVAC system was a challenge…but one that SES was up to. The article highlights our senior engineer, Don Nichols, and his role in proving that a 600-ton variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system was not only the cost-efficient option, but the most energy-efficient one as well. Aloft Hotel’s director of engineering, Scott Mondock, even declared it to be “probably the best system I’ve ever had a chance to work with.”
